Pido Jarencio set to join UST team in Pinoyliga Alumni Tournament

Alfredo “Pido” Jarencio, once again, embraces the University of Santo Tomas colors as he prepares to represent the Growling Tigers in the Pinoyliga Alumni tournament.

Jarencio, listed as the playing coach, leads the UST team in a tournament that gathers former players from different schools and universities.

A former standout of the UST Glowing Goldies in the 90s, Jarencio went on to play for multiple teams in the PBA, including Barangay Ginebra.

Jarencio has made a return to UST as the head coach for the upcoming UAAP season while simultaneously holding the position of team manager for the NorthPort Batang Pier in the PBA.

Joining Jarencio in the lineup are several of his former UST players, including Jojo Duncil, Jervy Cruz, Carlos Fenequito, Jackson Wong, Jeric Fortuna, Kent Lao, Kim Lo, Clark Bautista, AC Marquez, Ron Javier, Milan Vargas, Aljohn Ungria, and Marco Cam.

The team is further strengthened by the addition of Cyrus Baguio, Dennis Chiang, Bryan Cave, Stacey Balagtas, Herbert Garing, Melborne Espinosa, Chollo Pantera, Bryann Calantoc, Dan Roxas, Jay-R Aquino, Mychal Nubla, and Jacob Mallana.
