SGA Game-Winner Lifts OKC Past Charlotte

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander drained a jumper with a second left as the Oklahoma City Thunder debuted with a 109-107 escape over Charlotte Hornets in the 2020-2021 NBA Season on Saturday night (Sunday in the Philippines) at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

After seeing its 103-95 lead in the final 39 seconds turned to 107-all count by three straight triples by Hornets’ Mikal Bridges, Gilgeous-Alexander surged the OKC ahead with a 23-foot jumper from the right wing.

Gilgeous-Alexander finished the match with 24 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, George Hill added 21 markers, while Darius Bazley and Luguentz Dort had 15 each for the Thunder.

Terry Rozier paced the 0-2 Hornets with 19 points, PJ Washington added 18 markers, while Bridges and Devonte Graham contributed 14 markers each.

Meanwhile, Orlando Magic notched its second straight win with a 130-120 domination over Washington Wizards at the Capital One Arena in Washington.

Terrence Ross tallied 25 points, Nikola Vucevic added double-double 22 points and 17 rebounds, while Markelle Fultz contributed 21 for the Magic.

Bradley Beal finished with 39 points, Thomas Bryant added 19 markers, while Russell Westbrook had triple-double 15 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists as the Wizards dropped to 0-2.
