Pride Ng Tondo! RK Ilagan hopes to make Tondo proud
RK Ilagan is one step closer to fulfilling his PBA dreams this upcoming Rookie Draft, and he isn’t the only one who is excited for it.
The 5-foot-7 sharpshooter also knows that the whole community from Tondo is also rooting for him.
Ilagan established himself in amateur ranks as one of NCAA’s best scorers during his four-year stint with San Sebastian.
It was in Season 95 where he had a breakout year with game averages of 15.8 points per game on 32-percent shooting from threes, to go with 4.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists, while also leading the Golden Stags to a Final Four finish.
Aside from Ilagan, the area of Tondo also produced a superstar talent out of Magnolia Hotshots guard Paul Lee.
And the Gagalangin, Tondo-based cager also received some advice and moral support coming from the “Angas Ng Tondo” himself.
Sipag lang talaga para maabot yung pangarap,” he said.
