Lampas Pa Sa Max! Bobby Ray Parks Jr. Wants P1 Million A Month Salary?
The alleged sabbatical of TNT Tropang GIGA star Bobby Ray Parks Jr. for the upcoming 2021 PBA season could have something to do with his asking price for his new contract.
In a Twitter post by Spin.ph columnist Homer Sayson, the former National University Bulldogs guard is reportedly asking for a new contract that starts at P1 million a month, which is way beyond the league maximum salary.
“A source told me that Bobby Ray Parks’ asking price for a new contract starts at P1 million a month.,” Sayson tweeted.
“It’s time for the @pbaconnect to impose and enforce a well-defined salary cap that will prevent the powerhouse teams from driving the independent teams out of the league,” he added.
On Saturday afternoon, Parks took the social media to announce that he will be taking a leave from the Tropang GIGA for the upcoming PBA season as he tends to “personal matters” that is taking care of an ailing mother in United States.
Tropang GIGA owner Manuel V. Pangilinan, however, countered this in his Facebook post last night saying that Parks was indeed in La Union the past few weeks. A picture of Parks training with surfer Roger Casugay in La Union surfaced on Saturday morning.
