James Yap wins in political debut

Rain or Shine Elasto Painters guard James Yap was victorious in his first taste of political action.

The Escalante, Negros Occidental-native gunner ranked fourth in the councilor race for the first district of San Juan City.

Yap was running under the ticket of re-elected San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, a former De La Salle University Green Archers player.

Other basketball cagers who won in San Juan City were Paul Artadi and Ervic Vijandre (first district), Don Carlos Allado (second district).
