No.2 pick Chet Holmgren out indefinitely with foot injury
Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Chet Holmgren might not be ready for the upcoming training camp due to a foot injury.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the no. 2 overall pick has no timetable of return after suffering a torn ligament injury in his foot.
“He is undergoing further opinions,” Charania wrote on his Twitter account.
Holmgren reportedly sustained the injury while defending Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James during the Crawsover Pro-Am tourney recently.
The possible absence of Holmgren, a lean center with sweet shooting from outside, is a huge blow for the rebuilding Thunder.
