Dante Alinsunurin attributes Choco Mucho’s impressive performance in PVL Invitational to Cherry Rondina

Choco Mucho Flying Titans’ head coach, Dante Alinsunurin, credited the exceptional performance of his team in the ongoing Premier Volleyball League Invitational to the addition of Cherry Ann Rondina.

Alinsunurin acknowledged that the former University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses star has significantly transformed the dynamics of the Flying Titans, not only during games but also in their practice sessions.

“Alam mo, mula nung dumating sa amin si Sisi [Rondina], talaga training pa lang ‘yung impact niya sa team, sobrang nadadala ‘yung team e. Mapa-practice, mapa-lahat ‘e,” said Alinsunurin.

“Kaya sobrang thankful ako na Choco Mucho ‘yung pinili niya dito ngayon, tinutulungan [niya] kami sa programa namin sa Choco Mucho. Sana continue pa kung ano ‘yung dapat nating gawin tapos higitan mo pa ‘yung mga numero mo ngayon,” he added.

According to the former national men’s volleyball team coach, the Flying Titans are gradually establishing a reputation for themselves in the PVL following their underwhelming performances in previous conferences.

“’Yung team naman namin nagsisimula pa lang kami. Unti-unti naming ini-establish ‘yung Choco Mucho dito sa PVL,” Alinsunurin said. “Hindi naman kami nagmamadali pero ‘yun nga, sa sitwasyon na ‘to, kailangan talaga naming unti-unting magparamdam.”

“Gusto naming i-establish na ang Choco Mucho ay unti-unti nang umaangat in terms of skills and ano, kung ano man ‘yung gusto naming gawin sa loob ng court. Ganun lang,” he added.

The Flying Titans secured a hard-fought victory over the Petro Gazz Angels with a final score of 25-22, 25-15, 22-25, 18-25, 15-10 on late Saturday night, keeping their semifinal aspirations alive with a 3-1 win-loss record.
