Kihei Clark scores 6 as Utah falls to Houston in NBA Summer League semis
Kihei Clark made his presence felt in an extended role as the Utah Jazz endured a 115-101 loss to the Houston Rockets in the semifinals of the 2023 NBA Summer League on Sunday night (Monday, Manila time) at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The Filipino-American guard saw an increase in playing time during the knockout game as the Jazz decided to rest their other point guards, Kevonte George and Johnny Juzang.
Clark concluded the game with a stat line of six points, shooting 2-of-5 from the field and 2-of-3 from the free-throw line. Additionally, he contributed three assists, one steal, one turnover, and committed a personal foul.
Prior to the semifinal match, the undrafted Ilocano guard struggled to score in his first two appearances with the Jazz throughout the week-long tournament.
The Jazz concluded their campaign with a strong record, winning four out of their five games. Meanwhile, the Rockets maintained a perfect record, triumphing in all five of their outings.
Houston is set to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the championship showdown. The Cavaliers secured their spot with a thrilling 102-99 overtime victory against the Brooklyn Nets in the other semifinal game.
