AJ Edu looks forward to rejoin Gilas Pilipinas after recovering from ACL injury
Filipino-British hooper AJ Edu is all set on his on-court return.
The 6-foot-10 tower previously sustained an ACL injury during the 2019 FIBA Under-19 World Cup, as well as a meniscus tear just last year.
However, Edu is now ready to return for the Toledo Rockets while also reaffirming his commitment with Gilas Pilipinas.
I definitely do want to play for Gilas in the near future,” he said on Radyo5’s Power and Play with Noli Eala on Saturday.
The 21-year old remembered to thank Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) for giving him full support during his recovery process.
Edu is expected to be included in the lineup for the 2023 FIBA World Cup.
“They’ve been keeping in contact me, just checking in making sure I’m doing ok. They’ve also done a good job just making sure I’m handling the situation mentally,”
