Goodbye No. 23: LeBron James brings back No.6
LeBron James will officially wear No.6 again, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar gave a preview of his number switch on the “Space Jam: A New Legacy”, which will be released on July 16.

The four-time MVP first wore the No.6 jersey during his stints with Team USA, and decided to go for that number when he played for Miami Heat since the franchise retired No. 23 because of Michael Jordan.
James previously planned to ditch the No.23 entering the 2019-2020 season in order to give the number to Anthony Davis, but the change could not be made since Nike has manufactured millions of No.23 jerseys from LBJ.
Davis, who used to wear No. 23 in Kentucky Wildcats and New Orleans Pelicans, will still don the No.3 jersey.
