Netizens were quick to show ‘receipts’ of Hidilyn Diaz’s basher a couple of years ago right after she won a gold medal in the 55-kg weightlifting competition in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The bashing all started when Diaz previously posted a rant on social media, asking for financial support on her preparation for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

It also didn’t help that the Airwoman Sergeant was involved in the “Oust DU30” matrix, which illustrated a plot to oust President Rodrigo Duterte.

Back then, Diaz received a lot of bashing from netizens for being “too demanding”, and she was even counted out in the Olympics medal hunt despite winning silver in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Fast forward to July 26, 2021, the pride of Zamboanga City delivered the country’s first-ever gold medal.

Some netizens were quick to pull out so.e ‘receipts’ of Diaz’s basher who suddenly congratulated her as soon as she won the first prize in the Olympics.

Most notably, radio host Mark Lopez also did not escape from his previous post criticizing Diaz for asking financial support from the government.

Lopez even included Duterte in acknowledging Diaz for her victory, which only gave netizens a reason to target him.
