Creamline bounces back with a sweep of Cignal HD

Creamline Cool Smashers bounced back from its first defeat in the 2021 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference with a 25-22, 27-25, 25-19 sweep of Cignal HD Spikers on Monday night at Bacarra, Ilocos Norte.

Alyssa Valdez spearheaded the offense with 14 points as the defending champions Cool Smashers earned at least a playoff for a semis seat with its 6-1 win-loss slate.

The victory was the Cool Smashers bounce back after suffering a stunning defeat to Chery Tiggo Crossovers last week that ended their 25-game winning run.

The Cool Smashers, however, still showed some signs of struggle as they needed to toughen up in their floor and net defense to complete their sweep of the HD Spikers.

Cignal HD dropped to joint ninth with PLDT Home Fibr at 1-6.
