Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser trade legal, sabi ni Kume

The move of 2021 PBA Draft top-overall pick Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser from Blackwater Bossing to the NLEX Road Warriors was legal, according to PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial.

Marcial explained that, while there was a proposal among the PBA teams to prevent the trade of the no.1 overall pick for at least two years, but it never turned to a formal league policy.

“So far, wala talagang policy ang PBA regarding the trade of no.1 picks,” Marcial said. “It was supposed to be approved by the PBA Board noong 2019 kaso hindi rin natuloy.”

The informal agreement was held in 2018 after Terrafirma Dyip traded its then no.1 pick, turned out to be Christian Standhardinger, to the San Miguel Beermen for bunch of bench warmers.

Marcial said that they are willing to revisit to proposal soon to make it a formal PBA policy.
